Familiar Houston broadcaster brings nearly a decade of wealth management experience to the 50-year-old Houston asset manager.
HOUSTON, October 13, 2026 — Robertson Investment Management today announced that Darby Douglas has joined the firm as Managing Director and Financial Advisor in its wealth management practice.
For more than two decades, Douglas was one of Houston’s most familiar morning voices. He anchored traffic for KHOU-TV’s morning newscast from 1996 to 2009 and again from 2014 to 2018, and covered Houston traffic for nine area radio stations. In 2018 he left broadcasting for wealth management, completing his licensing and training before opening his advisory practice in Katy in 2019. He spent nearly eight years as a financial advisor with Edward Jones before joining Robertson.
